When the parish council receives notification of a planning application, a link to Cornwall Council's on-line planning register will be put on this page. The parish council encourages members of the public to let the parish council have any views or comments. Comments should be received within 5 days of the application being posted on this site. Comments received will then be summarised and circulated to parish councillors (comments will be anonymised prior to being sent). Councillors will then have 5 days to consider the comments received and will have an email dialogue expressing their views. A draft response will then be drawn up and circulated to members who will have 2 days in which to agree the response, before it is sent to Cornwall Council. The following statement will accompany the parish council's response "Due to the restrictions placed on the council as a result of the pandemic Coronavirus, this response represents the opinion of members of Carlyon Parish Council identified through a consultation process and will be ratified at the next appropriate meeting of the council".
The parish council's response will be published on the website.
If the matter is referred back to the council under the 5 day protocol, because the council's opinion has not been gained through the normal process, it is likely that the council will simply respond by saying "due to the restrictions placed on the council as a result of the pandemic Coronavirus, it has been unable to consult further and therefore has nothing further to add"
